[sticky post] Test Layout Journal
This is my test layout Journal.

Everything here will be built for free accounts using a CSS style sheet to load into the Customize Journal CSS page.
The three option boxes at the top of the Customize CSS page must be set to 'No'.

I'm currently working in 'Flexible Squares'. I don't think I can be bothered to work out how to overwrite the CSS for any other layout styles. I haven't found one that is easier or more flexible.

This layout is very basic, while I learn where things are.

I LOVE this. WOW! So simple, yet SO inviting and amazing and warm.

Can you make it have extra boxes in the sidebar to put other stuffs?

Hi Heyurs,

Thanks for the great feedback.

I don't think there's any limit to the boxes in the sidebar.
As many as LJ will allow.

Now I have the code nailed down I'll use this as a base to work other designs. I was going to test this with a heading pic as well.

I kept the text big, as most of the folk I know on LJ hate tiny text.
They they are writers/readers and I think a website fails at the first hurdle if it's not easy to read.

In fact, this text as I type is set to small as well, so I'll change that.

It may be in a few days time now though as it's Christmas and family fun is calling.

Hugs, Tia xx.

Oooohh, yes, a test heading pic will be great. My rotating banners should fit in there very nicely. I usually do the rotating banners with Smooth Sailing, but surely it will work with Flex Sq's, too! :)

Yes, this size is great. I would want the mood, and what you're doing, and where you are all on the bottom left, instead of across the bottom of the post. My friend helped me get that coded in, but alas... it is gone. :/

Hope you and your family have a very merry Christmas! :)

*hugs you*

A very Happy Christmas to you and your family too. :D

PS. I think the currents are where you want them. I just didn't fill them in on this post. I edited them in above. XX

Oh, yes! And the space above and after is another thing my friend plugged in, because most folks don't "return" after they are finished writing, and everything looks all jumbled. She wrote the spaces in to make it look all nice and uniform for me. I forgot to mention that before. But all of that is for tackling later. ;)

THANK YOU! x)
